I can hear a white lie

from ten miles away

been taken by the worst of them

I’m not easily led

the power of persuasion works

in strange ways

but I don’t worry about that

just when I think I finally got it all together

and I know what I mean

she moves in quietly

from some other where

she says, “leave room for argument-

now is that really that bad?

I lose my head when she starts to speak
