V1 - As the sun comes up, Lord I see You (Psalm 84:11)As the wind blows on my face, Lord I feel You (Psalm 135:7)

B - Sometimes I don't know what to say when my heart wants to praise (Romans 8:26)and I have concluded of You that I barely know anything about You at all (Isaiah 55:8-9)

C - Cause Lord if You showed me a thousand things brand new about You everyday I still would never see the fullness of Your glory Lord if You gave me a thousand years to try and count up all the ways that You have shown to me that You are just not enoughYou are too much

V2 - As the river flows, Lord I hear You (Revelations 1:15)As the rain falls on face, Lord I feel You (Isaiah 55:10-11)

B2 - I know You know me better than I know myself (Jeremiah 1:5)but I want to know You even though I know my mind can't hold it all


My friend, John Taylor, was preaching in Alabama. He came to me when he got back from preaching and told me of how the Lord spoke to him while he was there. He said that one morning as he was watching the sun rise that God just spoke to him, "If I showed you a thousand new things about me everyday, you would have only seen a speck of me." I was consumed with that word. I couldn't stop thinking about it. It got so bad that the moment I got home, I picked up a guitar and began singing. As I sang I thought of sometimes how I try to impress God with my prayers. I began to think of how He knows my feeble mind. He knows the truth in my heart. I began to think of how God could show me a thousand of His creations, a thousand of His attributes, a thousand of His miracles, a thousand of His thoughts, a thousand of His desires, and I still would only know just a speck of my Lord. He is too awesome for me to comprehend. But still I want to know Him more and more.
