My help and refuge come from the lord
He's the creator, the holy one

A faithful watch the father is keeping
He doesn't slumber; he's never sleeping
He guards my footsteps; he is my guide
In every battle he's at my side!

With god, my father, I walk each day
Life in the heavens, he promised me

And in his glory with him l'll be

I praise the father; he sent his son
Christ the redeemer, saviour and lord
He gave me faith; my pardon he won
Life in his kingdom is my reward
