A Warrior's Death

Baranduin

By still dark waters he stands alone
Staring to the horizon
This cursed realm has seen the glory and the honor
Forged by the blade
Still he stares to the blackness of this night
A new dawn he shall not see

He remembers the times long forgotten
The times of old
When swords sang and shields shattered
And men of valor met a warrior's death

Sun not yet rising
Dead to him is this world
A cruel and empty land
Only the last man stands

He remembers the times long forgotten
The times of old
When swords sang and shields shattered
And men of valor met a warrior's death

He curses the world
He curses the gods
Why did he not leave like his brothers
That died in battle?
Yet there he stands alone on the seashore
As an old and weary man whose time has been forgotten

Still he stares to the blackness of this night
A new dawn he shall not see

He remembers the times long forgotten
The times of old
When swords sang and shields shattered
And men of valor met a warrior's death
As he feels the cold claws of his time gone
He plunges into the sea and is never seen again
