At The Edge Of The World

Aimee Mann

at firt glance you could look so lonely
A vast wide plain
stretching out like glass
but they don't see what we see when we look inside it
The water rushes to the past.
At the edge of the world,
rising out of the snow,
like a kind of a frozen cathedral.
There's more then a pearl,
Lines back at the vice,
at the edge of the world.
No one knows what is like in the clear of the ocean
lonely shadows in light of a deep blue sea
From the peek its an icy desert.
The wind dwelling over the plain, is the only light.
The water covering the snow is the only light.
Cutting through the sliping ice.
At the edge of the world,
there's watery light,
there's filtering down from the heavens.
There's a river bellow,
every well that you know,
at the edge of the world.
And no one knows what is like on the clear of the ocean.
lonely shadows in light of a deep blue sea.
